Taking Shape Returns

Our desire is for you to look and feel fabulous!

If you are not satisfied with your new purchase, we are happy to exchange or refund your items in most circumstances.

The Returns Policy and Procedure varies slightly depending on where you purchased your item/s. Please read below for the specific details and instructions on how to obtain a refund or exchange.

    • We want to make returning item/s you have purchased Online simple, easy and hassle free! Therefore we have two different options to suit you.

      Online Returns
      To return merchandise to our Online Store, simply complete the Exchange/Returns section on the Invoice that was enclosed with your order, securely pack the items and post to:

      Please ensure adequate postage is affixed, as Cash on Delivery returns will not be accepted. We also recommend you send your return via a trackable method of postage, as Taking Shape will not be responsible for lost or missing parcels, and all goods are your responsibility until they reach our Fulfillment Centre.

      In Store Returns
      Online purchases can only be returned to an Australian Taking Shape boutique. Simply take your item/s and your Tax Invoice (that came with your parcel) to a boutique and one of our Fashion Stylists will refund or exchange your order.

      Online purchases may only be returned to a New Zealand boutique for an exchange of the exact same style, but in a different size or colour. Refunds cannot be processed due to currency conversion rates, tax and duty charges.

      All orders paid via PayPal must be returned to our online store in order to receive a refund. PayPal orders returned in store will receive an in store credit.

    • Refunds
      If you request a refund we will credit your original method of payment, excluding postage charges. The refund will be processed once your goods are received into our Fulfillment Centre.

      PLEASE NOTE: It may take 2-3 working days for the refund to show in your account.

      All orders paid via PayPal must be returned to our online store in order to receive a refund. PayPal orders returned in store will receive an in store credit.

      If you request a reorder on your Exchange/Returns Form the returned item/s will be refunded against your original order and the reorder will be treated as a new order. Your credit card will be refunded and then charged accordingly.
      If an item/s was purchased using Gift Card or Openpay, unfortunately this cannot be exchanged, it is only available for a refund.

  • If you are not completely happy with your purchase, you can return the item/s for an exchange, credit note or refund within 30 days of the original purchase, provided the following conditions are met:

    • Proof of purchase must be provided
    • Original swing tag must be attached
    • The item/s must be unworn and unwashed and in perfect saleable condition
    • Online purchases of apparel and accessories made through www.TakingShape.com can be returned to any of our Australian boutiques (excluding Australian Myer concept stores)
    • Change of mind returns excludes all clearance merchandise, swimwear, earrings and briefs
    • Credit notes are vaild for 12 months from date of issue
  • In the event that you are not entirely satisfied with any concession merchandise purchased from a Myer store, we will offer a repair, exchange or refund, in line with the Myer return policy. You can return your purchase to any Myer Store provided the following conditions are met:

    • Items are returned within 30 days of purchase
    • Proof of purchase must be provided
    • The item/s must be unworn and unwashed
    • All labels, swing tags and hygiene strips must still be attached

    Myer has the right to assess the age and condition of returned goods prior to offering a repair, exchange or refund.

    If you provide a valid receipt and do not wish to exchange the merchandise, you will be provided with a refund on the merchandise. The refund will be provided using the original payment method. Change of mind returns must be accompanied with a proof of purchase sales or gift receipt within a defined period of 30 days.

  • Items purchased from a Factory Outlet or Clearance Store may be returned to the original store of purchase for an exchange only.

    • All exchanges must be within 30 days
    • Proof of purchase must be presented for all exchanges
    • We do not provide refunds or credit notes for Factory Outlet or Clearance Stores purchases

    PLEASE NOTE: Items purchased from the Clearance section at www.TakingShape.com cannot be returned for a refund or exchanged at any Store or Online, unless faulty. These items are highlighted in pink of the garment swing tag and are itemised on your Tax Invoice with (CLEARANCE) after the style name.

  • Taking Shape endeavours to ensure that all customers receive top quality merchandise. However, if you believe that your item is faulty, or different from the description provided on the website, please contact the Customer Support Centre, and we will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

    You are entitled to an exchange, repair, credit note or refund if the products purchased are faulty or does not do what we said it would. Proof of purchase must be provided for all product returned as faulty.
